EcoFlow Delta 2 Features

The EcoFlow Delta 2 provides a whopping 1,800 watts of power from a 1,000-watt-hour LiFePO4 battery. That’s enough juice to run practically any appliance in your home for many, many hours. Consumers that are in need of even more power can opt to add one of two portable battery extenders that can increase the power up to 3,040 wHr.

The LiFePO4 battery will provide more than 3,000 full cycles before dropping to 80 percent capacity, ensuring you’ll have many years of service before needing to replace the unit. LiFePO4 battery designs are safer than previous lithium-ion batteries which have a tendency to overheat and may even explode. Unique circuitry prevents over- and undercharging, ensuring the battery is well protected from power surge problems.

What it Can Power

The Delta 2 is designed to power up to 15 devices simultaneously even though that isn’t very practical. In reality, you’ll most often use the AC ports for powering appliances and the USB ports for recharging devices. A 12v power port also ensures that you can power mini-refrigerators and other automotive tools.

In the base format, the Delta 2 will power a full-size refrigerator for up to 14 hours, it will power a modem for 31 hours, and it’ll even power a coffee maker for nearly an hour. The ample power supply availability ensures that you’ll be able to run almost any appliance, whenever and wherever you choose.

Pros

  • Ideal for use as a home backup or as the sole power generator in an RV
  • Some of the fastest recharge rates on the planet
  • Advanced protection circuits reduce the chance of damage to sensitive devices

Cons

  • Fixed handles prevent easy storage in tight environments

AC Ports

The EcoFlow Delta 2 has a unique configuration of AC outlets. Two of the six outlets are designed for grounded plugs while the remaining four are ungrounded. Typically, you’ll see grounded plugs for higher-demand appliances, while two-prong plugs are common on lighting and various other low-demand devices. USB Ports

Over the last decade, the way we live and use technology has drastically changed and nowhere is that more apparent than the number of devices we’ve come to rely on every day. From cell phones to laptop computers to drones, the types of devices that we charge through USB power continue to increase every year.

The EcoFlow Delta 2 offers a great variety of options for various connections. There are a total of six ports including two USB-C PD 100w options, two USB-A QC ports, and two standard USB-A ports. This combination of options means you’ll get optimal charging from quick charge-enabled devices along with safe charging on devices that require slower input.

12v Options

There is a standard 12v ACC port for plugging in 12v appliances. Additionally, you’ll find two 3.5 mm ports for connecting 12v radios, GPS units, or other devices.

Recharging Rates

EcoFlow DELTA 2

One of the reasons that EcoFlow continues to lead the market is its fast-recharge technology. Using just the included AC wall charger, you’ll see a recharge of 80 percent in less than an hour and only about an hour and a half to fully charge from zero. EcoFlow says their devices recharge as much as 80 percent faster than the competition.

When AC power isn’t an option, you can connect up to 500 watts of solar panel input directly to the power generator. Solar charging is optimized with an advanced MPP controller that gets the most from solar charging and allows an 80 percent charge in only three hours.

New Level of Control

One of the newest and most interesting features of the Delta 2 is the inclusion of built-in Bluetooth that allows you to use the EcoFlow app to monitor and control the battery backup remotely. This is a great feature for checking on the status of your generator, ensuring devices are charging, and generally offers a new, better way to keep tabs on your power supply.
